Raising the bar brings industrious concepts to light, changing the view from the bottom up.
Elevating the perspective to brighter possibilities, our design team rose to the occasion and approached the complex structural challenges of a 1900s era rubber factory. The design solution gave each partner a panoramic view, and all who spend time in the space benefit from an abundance of natural light. Adding a raised floor provided a visual and psychological lift, as well as a cost-saving technical solution. All ductwork, power, data and phone lines were placed below the floor surface, thus freeing up the ceiling for a new, modern expansiveness with an industrial aesthetic. Exposing the curved columns lent modern lines, transforming the firm’s corporate image to one of contemporary relevance, efficiency and excellence.

The answer: Yes, both literally (by lifting up the floor) and mentally (it's been proven that more light and views mental acuity).

Visibility brings awareness, as our transformation of an industrial building to a living art space inspires excellence.
Our choreographed solution from walls to windows reveals the power of transparency. Because passers by pause to watch rehearsals, dancers stay “on pointe” resulting in more polished performances. Our design with clear visibility in mind also revitalized engagement and increased student enrollment in both the Community School and the Academy.

Light Our designers turned walls into windows, increasing natural light throughout the building.
-
Growth Enrollment increased in the community school, which went from 500 to 5000 students.
-
Sustainability Environmental factors were a major consideration. The result: one Dumpster went to landfill (typical for a project of this size is ten) because we repurposed 75% of the materials. We cleaned it up, redesigned for efficiency, then put it back in.

With stylish efficiency, our innovative solutions for small space design appeal to the sophisticated aesthetic of an international clientele.
Sleek, streamlined and contemporary, our design of these luxury suites was a study in compact functionality. The space needed to offer high-end media capabilities, complex food and beverage service, concealed storage and comfortable accommodation for high-energy mingling. Intelligent spatial engineering and clean, impactful design crossed the finish line together for a finely-tuned solution. And, the project came in sleekly under budget. This reinforces that good design doesn’t have to be costly, but it does require a deeply committed creative team. Ours welcomed the challenge, exceeded expectations, and created a jewel-like backdrop to reflect the excitement below.
Is it time for design exhilaration?

The answer: Yes, our design of Circuit of the Americas ignites!

By thinking outside the everyday realm, we design surprises to inspire a world of creativity.
Full of delightful surprises, we transformed this classic office space into a post-industrial, quirky world with inviting references to nature’s elements of Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. These organic elements came to life in surreal retreats from work stations, encouraging free thought and inspiring people to be productive anywhere in the space. The eight-foot high sculpted “nest” of twigs and branches was designed as an airy and informal meeting incubator to hatch new ideas. Engaged and fully firing brains need oxygen to ignite, so we brought O2 to the mix with a living upside-down garden. More discoveries unfold as a hidden key unlocks a concealed door, revealing the “Super-Secret Hideout.” You never know what else you’ll find!

Our potent prescription was a fully-developed design theme for an extraordinary and adventurous clinic visit that inspires a return trip.
This pharmaceutical research facility performs clinical drug trials with an ongoing demand for large numbers of volunteers in order to achieve valid results. Our creative team embraced our client’s goal to create a space that was innovative and unique, yet comfortable enough for volunteers to relax in during the important clinical work at hand. The fun and engaging travel design concept is “R&R” (Research and Relaxation) allowing “guests” to enjoy their time at the destination.
The story unfolds as such: As clients arrive in the main lobby (the airport concourse), they receive a passport and point of departure to one of three inviting clinic destinations: “The Beach,” “The Mountains” or “The City.” The travel theme is packed with vivid design details to conjure up pleasant memories and a sense of escape—umbrella drink anyone? Room for growth played a role in the design concept to keep the experience fresh as they expand in the future. The newest itinerary option will be “The Meadow,” for dental volunteers. Sometimes the story is so good, you’ll want to travel there again and again.
